Steel ball is a commonly used locking element for three cone drill bits. Its function is to firmly fix the cone on the palm (the component connecting the drill bit body and the cone), preventing the cone from falling off under high-speed rotation and high drilling pressure. The steel ball is tightly matched with the corresponding grooves on the roller cone and palm, ensuring that the roller cone can rotate freely while providing reliable locking force, adapting to the requirements of high-speed drilling operations, and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the drill bit under complex working conditions.

The oil storage sealing device is crucial for maintaining the normal operation of the three cone drill bit. This device typically uses a fully rubber oil reservoir that can limit pressure differential and prevent drilling fluid from entering the lubrication system. There is an appropriate amount of lubricating oil stored in the oil reservoir. When the oil pressure in the bearing chamber decreases due to wear or temperature changes, the lubricating oil in the oil reservoir is replenished to the bearing chamber under external pressure, ensuring that the bearing is always in a good lubrication state. At the same time, the oil reservoir and sealing components work together to effectively prevent impurities such as drilling fluid from entering the bearing chamber, providing reliable lubrication for the bearing system and greatly extending the service life of the drill bit.
